To our dear PURE retreaters…
We wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining us on Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
One of the most important things we offer in the PURE retreat is the opportunity to experience your own, deeply personal evolution: be it through honest conversation with new people; the challenges in breaking language barriers; the immersion in local culture; the opportunity to try something new; or the urgency to lend a hand where it’s needed most.
While we know some of the volunteer conditions proved to be shocking, we absolutely felt the genuine care, concern and camaraderie from each of you and feel you’ll carry those experiences with you for a lifetime. Thank you for tackling the challenge with great spirit, enthusiasm and most importantly, a sense of humor.
It could have been via Matthew and Jen’s enlightening Pilates sessions, or the beauty and tranquility of the island, or simply the kickin’ fresh-squeezed juice at breakfast…whatever it was that made you twinkle on the inside, we hope you left the island content and are transformed in some small way.
When a group of people come together as strangers and leave as friends, the encounters become life changing and thanks again to all of you for bringing such wonderful karma and embracing one another.
It was truly a special experience.

And a big P.S.--for those of you who helped paint the clinic, we just got a note from Alison calling you all "major troopers," because in her words, the clinic was "shockingly filthy." The good news from Alison is that the clinic has remained pristine since you painted it. Great job!
